	<font face="Times New Roman" color="#004080" size="6">FOURTH BEST GAME OF ALL TIME</B></FONT><BR>

	<font size=2 face="Verdana"> <U>(July 22, 2000)</U> The game that started the turn-based strategy phenomenon, <I>Sid Meier's Civilization</I>, is in the headlines again. IGN PC's senior editors have just completed their site's <U>Top 25 Games Of All Time</U> feature, and the original Civ <A HREF="" TARGET="_new">has taken 4th spot</A>. Some notable excerpts:

	"Back before anyone realized that they were both game design geniuses, Sid Meier and Bruce Shelly sat down together to design a title that proved to be one of the most important releases in the history of the PC.

There are so many things that were revolutionary about this game that a listing becomes pointless... One of the finest games ever crafted and a precursor of great titles to come". 

	<P>

	Civ was thumped out of making it into the top three first by another Sid Meier title, <I>Pirates!</I>, followed by <I>Dune 2: The Building of a Dynasty</I> and <I>X-COM: UFO Defense</I> respectively. It is interesting to note that three of the top four titles cited by IGN PC were developed and published by MicroPROSE before 1995. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; - <FONT SIZE=1><A HREF="mailto:dan@apolyton.net">DanQ</A>
