It is 1934, 72 years after the death of Abraham Lincoln from Marfan's syndrome.

The Confederacy was hit hard by the Depression, losing its foreign investors and facing unrest among
its Negro population, who yearn for their rights. In the face of the nation's difficulties, the masses
elect Huey P. Long to the Presidency.

Long immediately objects to U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt's plan to build a series of dams along
the Colorado River. He claims it will violate the Confederacy's right to use of the river in Arizona.

The nations stare at each other uneasily. The Confederacy's veteran army tradition will face off
against the Federals' industrial might. Confederate General Douglas MacArthur prepares for battle, as
his counterpart, George Patton, attempts to recruit a fighting force.

Can the house divided continue to stand?
