^This scenario is meant to be played as a normal game of Civilization beginning with the
^actual historical situation in 1 A.D. Any of the seven civilizations are playable, and each
^has its own advantages.
^
^The Romans are the most powerful and most advanced civilization, but they are surrounded by
^enemies.
^
^The Africans are primitive and have only small cities, but they have a large number of free
^(no home city) units--mostly Warriors, but some Archers and Settlers as well.
^
^The Eurasian Tribes--representing the Celts, Goths, Huns, and others--are also primitive and
^have only a few cities. However, they receive three large batches of reinforcements in the
^game, each larger than the last.
^
^The Mayans, which represent all of the fledgling New World civilizations, are fairly
^primitive but have two large continents to settle without opposition.
^
^The Chinese are a large and advanced civilization, but face serious problems with barbarians.
^
^The Parthians are reasonably advanced and have a strong army, but have little room to expand.
^
^The Indians have several large cities but face strong opponents on each side.
