Thanks for trying CIVSPACE. Please read this before trying the game!

CIVSPACE was designed to be either a stand-alone game or a tool to
design space-related scenarios. I had a lot of fun designing it and
hope die-hard science fiction fans will get all the references hidden
the game. Even though the graphics have changed, the game still follows
basic CIVII conventions.

LAND terrain now translates into any "star square" (stars, asteroids, nebula)
SEA terrain translates into DEEP SPACE
AIR units translate as HYPERSPACE

The game was designed with the GALAXY map in mind. I have not attampted to
play the game with other maps. You may wish to view the map without the
civspace graphics to see the relationship between "Land" and "Sea" terrain.

PLAY THE GAME AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

As always, BACKUP your civ files before playing.

I have tested the game several times in a non-scenario mode, AND THERE ARE
BUGS. These bugs are not fatal to playing the game, and if anyone can tinker
with the rules to eliminate them, please feel free. If it works, I'd like
to hear about it. Email me at the address below!

Known bugs are:
1. Some units aren't offered in the city construction box when they should be.
2. Once REPUBLIC/EMPIRE is acheived, revolution doesn't seem to work
3. FUNDAMENTALISM has been changed to (BORG) COLLECTIVE, however, units that
should only be offered under COLLECTIVE are offered to everyone.

I've changed virtually every advance, unit and improvement. I did not create
a new civilopedia to explain what has changed to what. However, I have noted
in the RULES.TXT file many of the changes.

The graphics have been cannibalized from the game, other peoples scenarios,
and many sources on the internet. I'd like to credit whomever may have
created them, but I don't necessarily know who they are.
