A Civilization II map designed by Dennis Brennan

This Civ II map depicts an old campaign gaming world of mine.
It consists of large northern and southern continents. All of the
civilizations start either on the southern continent or on one of the
large offshore islands. I recommend that you set the game to not
restart eliminated civilizations, because the computer tends to place
new civilizations in the northern continent. I think it's much more
fun to leave the northern continent unspoiled except by colonization
from the south.

The southern continent, like the northern, stretches completely around
the globe. Civilizations are spread out so that each civ has a definite
"home area" with rough natural boundaries. Each civ will likely grow
to a fairly large size before it runs up against the borders of another
civ. Expand quickly and get a foothold on the northern continent to
succeed in this game.

I mostly play as one of the civilizations just west of the small gulf
near the center of the map. The map seems fairly well balanced for
this starting position.
