		  TIPS FOR ANTARTIC.MP

1. Getting Started

2. Placement of Towns

3. The Enemy

1. Getting Started

The terrain you are playing on is probbably different
than you're used to. The most challengeing part of this
map is that you can't build irrigation on the "glacier"
segments of land (The pure white segements of land are
glacier, the tundra is the specled white). The best way
to start a game is to choose No when asked to radomize
starting locations, then choose the Aztecs. I have
placed the Aztecs on the most firtile run of land.

2. Placement of Towns

One of the most important things to remember is that
you can not build irrigation on the galcier land so if
you trap your town in them there is no way to get
irrigation to them. So your towns will have to stay
along the shore because it is mostly tundra, and a few
plains. The best way to win this map is to build as many
towns as you can and keep them close. The glacier land
does not have good movement points (about as good as
mountain terrain). Remember that where you Build your
town it will produce an extra shield on the terrain that
it's on so don't build on a resource. Use the resources
 and find huts, they help.

3. The Enemy

The enemy or the other civilizations (whitch are
always my enemys) are few and far apart mostly along the
coast and one near the middle. They are of no threat if
you find them right away (in that case you want to
trade technologies and then kill them. The challenge to
this map is that you need to know how to play the land,
which the computer is always good at doing.

Good Luck !!!
