Maps of Mars for Civilization II

These are maps of the planet Mars, from the role-playing game "Space: 1889".
Mars is a largely Desert world, studded with Hills and Mountains, and crossed by
canals and old silted-up canals (strips of Plains). The best land is in the dried
sea bottoms (Grassland and Plains, and a few little Swamps). The Grand Canals of
Mars are Ocean squares, so they are navigable waterways. The lesser canals are
represented by Rivers.
My first Mars map is not included. All its canals were Rivers, with no open
water at all. The game engine seems to object to this; you can play on it, but
after a while the game slows down, then locks ups.
My third map is largely the same as the second, except that some lesser
canals are now navigable Grand Canals. I also added some surface water (little
River segments) to many of the silted-up canals across the Deserts.

I have a rules.txt file for Mars, but it's still a work in progress (and I'm
a lousy artist on the units.gif file that goes with it). I allowed for ambitious
terraformers by changing terrain transformations: Forest -> Jungle, Jungle ->
Swamp, Swamp -> Ocean, Ocean -> Swamp.
Only a few ships are still aquatic: Trireme, Caravel, Galleon, Aircraft
carrier, Transport. The rest can fly (that antigravity Martian liftwood, you
know... the Wine resource in Hills is now Liftwood). All aerial ships have
2-space sight. Frigates are War Kites, Ironclads are Gunboats, Submarines are
Stealth Ships. War Kites and Gunboats have a 10-turn flight endurance, and can
only attack ground targets. Destroyers and later ships can fly 20 turns and
attack other flying units. I'll upload the rules file soon, or you can make your
own. Please tell me if you think the flight endurance of the flying ships is too
long; I'm thinking of cutting it from 10 and 20 to 5 and 10.
