You may freely distribute these 3 maps to others, or upload to other online services, provided
these conditions are met:

1. No charge is made for the maps. Microprose owns the copyright to the map editor and to
CIV2, and they are the only people entitled to make money from the results. Anyone who charges
for CIV2 maps is betraying the concept of "fun". They should be very ashamed of themselves.
These maps are free.

2. The three maps are offered as a set, and this README file is kept with the set to identify me as
their creator.

The maps are LGWATER.MP (a large map), NMWATER.MP (a Normal map), and SMWATER.MP
(a small map). All three feature a large number of islands, each one capable of supporting 2-3
Cities. There is an abundance of grassland, rivers, and forests with no desert on any of the maps.
So, while the islands aren't big, they will easily support large cities. Just be sure to build Triremes
early, and get yourself a large navy!

To use the maps, you'll need a copy of PKUNZIP (which you obviously have if you're reading
this file). Unzip the three .MP files into your \CIV2 directory. Start a new game, but select
"Start on a Pre-Made World", then select one of the maps.

If you tell the game to Randomize Resource Seed, then some of the island locations will not
work as well for your cities. The islands were designed to take advantage of a certain resource
layout. Altering that will alter the value of the maps.

I set up 7 different starting locations for specific Civs, but you don't have to accept the given
locations. If you tell the game to randomize starting players, you'll get a new game every time.

A last note on the AI: It seemed to have some problems using the large map. These aren't
enough to reduce your enjoyment of the game, having mostly to do with wasted movement.
My own tastes run to small-medium maps, and the games I've had on those have worked out
fine.

Enjoy playing CIV2!
