For 900 years since the Assyrians conquered Babylonia, they continued to
expand. In 626 B.C they occupied Babylonia, Medes, Fenikia, Judaia, Egypt
and parts of small Asia. Now is the time for the new Babylonian kingdom to
take their place. Nabopolassar, the Babylonian king has allied with the
Medes kingdom, and by 612 B.C they conquered Ashur and Ninveh, thus destroying
the Assyrian kingdom forever. While the Egyptians remained loyal to Assyria,
the Pro-Babylonian Hebrews rebeled, but in 586 B.C Nebuchadnezzar II destroyed
Jerusalem, after the Hebrews didn't accept his rule. Necho, the Egyptian
pharoh, took advantage of the situation and started a war against the kingdom
of Judaia. After conquering Judaia, Nebuchadnezzar II invaded Egypt.
