******Caballero de Virtud Modification Pack*********Lance Paladis*****
Spainish for 'Knights of Virtue' I think...
14, April 1998

I don't like long Readme.txt files and I know you don't either so I'll
try to keep this short.

Well, this is it, my second project completed. It's been hard work for
a few days but I am kind of proud of my achievement. (So, don't start
sending your criticisms too soon! At least wait a few weeks for my pride
to wear out a bit...but if your tolerance wears thin, just ignore this
message and go ahead abuse my well being.)
This mod is different to my last mod because I was able to buy the Civ II
Scenarios and therefore utilize the macro language available to enchance
the excitability of my scenarios. I must say, making this scenario has
given me some pleasure and I own it mostly to the following:

The Micropose Empire - The "mightest civilization" in the history of PC
gaming! Your creation has sparked the creation of many smaller empires.

Ofcourse and as always to Michael D. McCart for his wide collection of
units which provides the one of the backbones of this mod pack.

Harlan Thompson for compiling a resourceful collection of Ancient and
Medieval Units.

The creator of the Arthur and Round Table Scenario, which inspired me
to create this mod pack. (I apologise for not remembering your name)

Pablo Farias for being the first person to put me up on his dynamic
English/Spainish Civ II web page. -pablofn@iname.com (You can also
check out some of his Ancient World modpack- a lot of work was obviously
put into it.)

Brian Townsend for posting my first modpack up as the only mod in
his easy-to-use Civ II web site!

And lastly to the wonderous Civilization II sites out there...providing
so much fire and inspiration to my creation. (Please forgive my stupidity
if I failed to acknowledge you in the proper way.)

The following is a brief description of each of the three scenarios

1. Wars of the East Realm- War has broken out in the Eastern Realms and
the smell of blood reawakes the Dragon of the Vale. The ancient race of
Dragon Warriors threatens the Orders of East as the fearsome Ice Wyverns
of Caladis are free to rule the heavens once more!
(EAST.SCN, EAST.TXT & EVENT.TXT)

2. Sorceress' Chessboard- A Dark Sorceress has released the long forgotten
evilness which dwelt five hundred centuries ago. Now the thirteen invincible
Lords of Evil are revived from lost memories and live again to instill fear
in all nations. Now, the Five Western Orders of Knights have to band together
to drive back consuming darkness. The only glimmer of hope comes from a Hero
summoned by the Holy Seers of Avatar's Isle. It provides the chance of defeating
the Dark Sorcerer herself!
(DARKNESS.SCN, DARKNESS.TXT & EVENT.TXT)

3. Heartis D'Gorgo- The Dark Lord Nachar has broken the bonds imprisoning
the three Gorgons locked away many centuries ago. The South Island Knights
admist their petty disputes must find some way to surpress these beast before
the Gorgons wreak havoc everywhere. This means venturing into the Heart of the
Gorgon!
(GORGOS.SCN, GORGOS.TXT & EVENT.TXT)

*******Problems encountered along the way (as if you would care)**********

Although I found the macro language useful in many ways, there was also a
lot of problems and bugs I encountered along the way. Sometimes the debug
option didn't pickup vital spelling errors of commands, there was a limit
to the amount of event text allowed (thus I had to forgo many RandomTurn
events that could have made the scenarios more exciting) and also a lot
of actions weren't able to be carried out by one single trigger.

*******Last Comments (About time he shutup.)*******************************

Okay. I guess that is all I have to say. I wish you luck playing my scenarios
and hope it won't bore you to tears, or to induce you to a destructive state!
Any comments would be greatly appreciated (even if its inappropriate);
criticisms, you know...Thanks for reading this far! (For those who didn't,
you're the smart ones.)
