The Hyperborean Crusade:

The planet of Hyperborea had been settled early, many centuries
before the Age of Strife brought all organized colonisation to
a halt. It had become highly industrialized, and have spread
over most of the planet, with most of the population living
around Hive Primus and Hive Secundus, the centers of government
for the planet.

The planetary overlord of Hyperborea is Lord Viago, controlling
the planet's armies and ruling the world from the home of his
House, Hive Primus. The responsibility for administering the
territories directly however falls upon the shoulders of the
Noble Houses, the Bador, Corino, Taledna, and Shaar, each a
significant military power in their own right, their hives
defended by loyal servants.

To seize control of the planet, the Space Marines must capture
the Noble Houses' main hive, although a daring commander may
opt to assault Hive Primus or Hive Secundus, inspite of the
heavily defended fortifications behind which heavy armoured
vehicles pose ready to respond to any incursion.

Hyperboreans:
You have not achieved the level of technology of the Techpriest
adepts, but the population is vast and there are always willing
recruits for the House military or the Overlord's personal
elites. The network of jump-tubes give you an advantage, but
all of your best military counsel suggest that a direct assault
against the Marines' strongholds would be the only way to halt
the arrival of more Imperial troops.
The problem is, where are the Marines?

Space Marines:
There are three different Legions to choose from, although the
difference between them, so early in their history, is quite
small.
The Terminators can be teleported, while the Space Marines can
be deployed in drop-pods, giving you the capacity to mount
lightning assaults on outlying parts of the Hives and seize
strategic and tactical objectives before the superior numbers
of the defending Hyperboreans can be brought to bear. While the
initial bridgehead is small, and resources may be stretched to
the maximum supporting those units already on planet, expansion
of the facilities and extending your control of the planet's
region by building outposts means that more Imperial units may
be called into action.

Have faith in the Emperor, and while your foes may
surround you, have no fear if the position is advantageous to
defence.

Note:
The cities with the N.House prefix, or called Hive
Primus or Secundus, are designated objectives. For the mission
to be a success, four or more must be seized, and for your
Legion to be hailed as conquerors of Hyperborea, seven or more
must be under your control. (In this the Hyperboreans have an
advantage... they have all the objectives under heavy guard..)
