Tips and Notes for Playing "The Great Powers" 1.0

The Triple Allience:
Grand Poland, Spain, and the Low Cities
The allience between Grand Poland and Spain is strong
The allience between Grand Poland and the Low Cities is fair.
The Low Cities and Spain are secretly on the brink of war.

Game-long Vendettas:

Holy Roman Empire/Grand Poland/Barbarian Cities:
Holy Rome is probably the weakest power of the game. Though it controls central Europe and Africa it is the only power that cannot expand. Grand Poland should send some phalnexes to take the Barbarian cities (Archangel, Muscova, Volgagrad) and quickly take Berlin from Holy Rome. The Barbarian cities are to simulate the Mongol-controlled Russian Principalities.

Holy Roman Empire/Islamia:
The front will be fought in Central Africa between Islam-controlled Libya and the Holy Roman Cities of Hippo and Carthago. Offense is the key in this war.

Byzantine Empire/Islamia:
This will be fought in the Arabian Penninsula and will probably begin with the destruction of Damascus by Islamia. Islamia's goal is to destroy/capture the cities of Tyre and Jerusalem right away and then capture Alexandria. Failing to do this could lead to a Byzantine offensive against the Nile Region. If you are playing Byzantine your primary objective is the Hanging Gardens in Babylon to keep your main cities from rioting. Secondary goals are the capture of the Nile and the Medditerranian coastline.

The Low Cities/Spain
Thought these nations start as allies the relation will deteriorate rapidly. The key to success here is to capture all the French cities of the weak Anglo-Normans. To turn the tide of war capture Paris (if your Spanish) or Basque (if your a Lowlander).

Wonder of the World:
Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Oracle at Athens (I think!)
Lighthouse at Land's End
Pyramid of Low Lorraine
