It's April of the year 1846, and the boundaries of the Mexican Republic
extend into present day Arizona, New Mexico, and California. The Americans
also lay claim to this territory. The reason for the American expansionism,
or "Manifest Destiny", is based upon the principles of the Monroe Doctrine,
which is to "leave America to the Americans." The Mexicans, however, will
not tolerate this, and war is about to break out. Will the Mexicans
relinquish control of the disputed territory, or will the American
expansionist fire be quenched?
