Ocean Earth Scenario #3
is based on a watery world similar but different to our own. This
is the 3rd epoch of the changing large-island masses. Civilization
Advances and units are mostly the same, although some have a different
appearance. Shipbuilding is more efficient. Ships above Trireme gain
at least one extra move and they are cheaper to build. Wonders such as
Magellan's Voyage are excellent choices on Ocean Earth.
The AI's preference to research Tech that advances ships is increased.
Road movement is 4 (1/4 move), with many good city sites.
Settlers use one food at any government level.
The land masses are generally larger than the previous 2 scenarios.
There are nasty barbarians with several of their own cities on the map!
The scenario is, Bloodlust, Raging Hordes, No Restart of
Extinct tribes, 9/10 Tech Advance. Discovered Tech similar to an
accelerated start. If you just use the map rather than the scenario,
then the preset Start Locations/resources result in good city sites.
The scenario includes Germans, Zulus, Greeks, Americans, Sioux
Celts and Aztecs, circa 2000 BCE.
The Americans have 5 cities, but are also surrounded by the other
tribes. The rest of the tribes have 3 each, and roughly equal otherwise.
To attain a decisive victory, you must conquer/hold 16 of the 23
major tribal cities that are on the map from the beginning.
You need work on your income in the beginning!
The tribes can research 3 new Technologies, later in the game:
TacOps, Cybernetics and Anti-Gravity, all leading to new military units.
@end -- this line must be here!
