Installation:

This scenario has been created to be used with the 'Conflicts in Civilization'-Update. If you haven't got this
Update read the lines down below.
	Steps:
		1. Create a directory named 'Ratmaze' in the Scenario directory.
		2. Copy all files of this Zipfile to the created 'Ratmaze' directory
		    (except for sound.zip and the city.gif ).
		3. Create a directory named 'Sound' in the Ratmaze directory.
		4. Copy all files of the Sound.zip to the created 'Sound' directory.
		5. Copy the City.gif to the main Civ2 directory. This file replace your
Original City.gif file, so store the original file in a safety directory.

To play this scenario, load the file ratmaze.scn, which you can find now in the created Ratmaze directory.

Installation without the 'Conficts in Civilization'-Update:

Copy all files, except for the pedia and event textfiles and the title.gif into your main Civ2 directory. These files
replace your Original files, so store the original files (see Contains-List) in a safety directory or on a disk.
Copy the files of the Sound.zip in the Sound directory of your Civ2 directory. These files also replace your
Original files, so also store the original files in a safety direktory.
Hint: Create a directory named 'Original' in the Civ2 directory and place the original files there.

To play this scenario, load the file ratmaze.scn, which you can find now in your Civ2 directory.

This scenario plays in the fictional dimension Hterss. Or simply call it hell, hades, underworld, styx ....
The rivers have black water and the sea is filled with blood and acid. Only one unit (Conjurer) is able to
cross the sea. All other units are engaged in the maze of the rat. There are no sea units available and the air
units (except for the conjurer) can't move through the acid clouds of the bloodsea. By the way, the maze is only
one continent - but it is a maze.

Units
A lot of the units in this scenario are new. All sea units have been replaced by Worm Men, Golems, Scorpions and so on. All air units have been replaced by Dragons, Eyes and so on. Take a look in your Civ-Pedia after you begin the scenario to see what units are new.

Wonders
A few wonders have new icons and new names, but there are only replacements of some of the well known ones.Take a look in your Civ-Pedia after you begin the scenario to see what names are changed. As an example the 'Great Wall' is now the 'Gate of the Heavenly Peace' and the Michelangelo chapel is now the 'Kreml'.

Special Notes
Here are a few more things you ought to know:
* Each air unit (except for the Conjurer) can be attacked by ground units.
* The Conjurer unit can only be attacked by a:
					- Conjurer
					- Wizard
					- Killer Duck
					- Vulture
					- Smokedragon
* A lot of resource icons are changed. You find now big spiders (replacing the taurus), ants, dead bodys, slaves, vulcanoes, bears and so on.
* The terrain looks now very strange (forrest, jungle, swamp e.g.)

Special Thanx
are going to Anders Rask (http://www.civ2.com), Matthias (http://www.xpoint.at/datcom/matthias/civ2/),
Sporeboy1 (I took the forrest look out of his Fenris scenario), B3 (for the title.gif; sorry I don't know your
real name) and Mike McCart (for the cities.gif and the city.gif [I add some changes to the city.gif, so it also
works now with the German Civ2 version]).
