"The Han were to the East as the Romans to the West."
The Han empire of China was far ahead of its time, the
huge 300 hundred-year dynasty was the model dynasty
for China. But it fell much like that of Rome-Political
upheaval, rebel "yellow scarves", and the Hun barbarian-
s."The empire, long united, must divide, the empire, long
divided, must unite"-famous saying about China's history.
In the christian year 189, the rebel Dong Zhuo
deposed the emporer and seized the kingdom. Loyal lord
Yuan Shao rallied the noblemen of the land to destroy
the traitor and restore the Han. Dong Zhuo was finally
destroyed in 192, but the Han had lost their mandate
and the kingdom was in chaos. Two great heroes arose.
Cao Cao, a wise general, and Lu Bu, a fearsome warrior.
They were arch rivals, but Cao Cao finally destroyed Lu
Bu at Baima in 199 and took control of the capital at
Luoyang and the emporer. To be continued...
