^^Length: %STRING1 to %STRING2
-Russians: Likely to do well militarily and poorly in other fields. Give them the
chance, and the newly freed serfs will remake the face of Russia.
-Chinese/Japanese: As the only non-European empire, they suffer from lingering
prejudice and a slow start. Should the wealth of fast-industrializing Japan pull
China out of chaos and poverty, the region's deeds will challenge Europe's finest.
-Central Europeans: Wealthy and advanced, and likely to become more so. The
Prussian army is the finest in the world, but this people will find it difficult to
conquer overseas. In constant peril of a two-front war.______________________
-Americans: This sea-defended people still have enough to do within their own
borders. They have few enemies. Given time, who can tell where their manifest
destiny will take them? _____________________________________________
-English: The most powerful people on earth. Rulers of "the empire on which the
sun never sets". However great their fleet, no matter how numerous their citizens,
they will find it difficult to avoid imperial overstretch. ____________________
-French: Still rankling from defeat, and conscious of the small size of their
empire, the French are perhaps the most deliberate imperialists. French is already
the language of diplomacy; it may soon be the lingua franca of Africa. ________
-Traditionalists: History is cruel, and these people are paying a bitter toll for
the glory of the conquest states. They dispair now, unconscious that their
descendants will master the ideals of the West to win back one freedom after
another. They suffer from considerable prejudice. Not recommended for human play.
