Portrayal of a difficult subject matter (cyborg-ness) was masterful. Good plot that swept one along and that got us interested in the main character. Also good thumbnail sketches of the various faction leaders. Got the reader interested in Rachelle, the principal character. Good action sequences.
Wasn't too sure about the Rachelle/Sonia/Portia commlink experience. The guides and concepts.txt seem to indicate that psi weaponry is line-of-sight - but good imagination to project that through the commlink connection (original, but stretched the SMAC boundaries a tad)
Well presented tale that handled a difficult concept (becoming a cyborg) credibly. Poem was a neat touch, too. Also a good read.
