	SMACX: Episode 6, Data Angels Faction September 29 1999 -- Markos Giannopoulos
	Update day for the official smac site. Episode 6 of the SMACX story is posted: "Prokhor Zakharov felt the blood leave his face". I didn't catch any familiar names(of a smacer) this time... Also, a new faction is revealed(the fourth one, three more to go), the "Data Angels". The Data Angels(or "Probe Faction") are a "splinter group of the Morgan faction" and have a +2 Probe rating, as well as a +2 Morale rating.

	SMACX Goes Gold, Coming On October 19th! September 28 1999 -- Markos Giannopoulos
	Well, I basically said everything with the title. Firaxis announced today that Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire(or SMACX for short) has gone gold and will be shipped on October 19th. Firaxis also announced that they will release a demo of SMACX before the shipping date. Three weeks to go then! Thanks to Simon de Vet for sending us the news.

	Lots of news from Firaxis... Episode 5: The fifth episode of SMACx's story is here. Title? Snowfire studied the sea. Yes, Snowfire! :) Pirates: New faction from SMACx, the Pirates. A tribute to a Sid classic? Coupon: EA offers a coupon to get SMAC(7 months after the release?) and save 10$. The interesting about it, is that the coupon is "electronic", you print it out to take to the store! Mailbag: Last week's mailbag was answered by Dave Inscore, Artist. This week's should be posted today, answered by Chris Pine.

	Early SMAC-X Art September 13 1999 -- Dan Quick
	A user by the nickname "I'm Not Ugly" sent us some early Alien Crossfire art -- yes, the leader picture to the right of you. If this was what was being developed during the first phase of SMAC-X, the final product is looking more than promising. Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire is the highly anticipated add-on to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, which is expected to be released sometime this fall; no exact date has yet been confirmed.

	Episode 4 August 31 1999 -- Markos Giannopoulos
	In case you didn't notice, SMACx Episode 4 was posted on August 27th: "Bortniansky stood and watched as his technicians...". MikeH and Snowfire made it into the story, two more smacer who will now be remembered forever... :) Hey, Mike, a Morgan(personal favorite) base named Apolyton, perhaps? :D

	SMACX Eisodes 2&3 August 25 1999 -- Markos Giannopoulos
	This almost ancient news now :) but SMACX's Episodes 2 and 3 have been posted: "Rae awakened as a flash of lighting split the sky" and "It was time.". Episode 4 should be posted in a couple days...

	Interview: Tim Train on SMACx! August 9 1999 -- Markos Giannopoulos
	Just like a year ago, we are again waiting for SMAC :) but this it is Alien Crossfire, not Alpha Centauri. We wondered about some things and we got Tim Train(Designer and Producer of SMACx) in a cell until he confessed everything about SMACx :) Well, not about everything but we got some interesting info from him...
