pls. note that the game Space empires III and the new version in development (se-IV) seems to implement most of the ideas exposed here. It is shareware, licence is 25USD and is available via internet from malfador machinations, malfador~crl.com. FYI

I've played SE3 and I'm awaiting SE4, but no matter how many ideas you share, implementation of them is always different. If SE3 had done it the way I wanted it I wouldn't be programming :)

In response to Jaspreets review comment on long online time: If you'd ever tried Stars! or VGAPlanets, you'd understand how the client-host games work. You play/plan offline, generate a file and send it to the host by email. Online time amounts only to the sending and receiving of the emails. Even us poor guys can play :)

Such great reviews we were given. I apparently only found out about this today from head developer (I was out of the loop for a while), but i like it. I hope we can measure up to the expectations some of you people have.

With the help of a friend, I can :) I stumbled across this page by accident (I thought it was removed), but I figured I'd post just in case someone stumbles here and encounters my old and no longer working email.
