( WarVoid, 09-09-2000) The scenarios contained in this expansion pack are well worth the price. Scenario's such as Atlantis or Jules Verne are some of the finest examples of scenario writing by the master's at MicroProse; Mick Uhl and John Possidente. Above and beyond this are the excellent upgrades Fantastic Worlds offers for scenario writers. New features include an advanced events macro language and graphics editing utilities. A must-buy for any Civ2 fan.

This expansion pack is worth buying, but not because of its juvenile scenarios. Fantastic Worlds' real strength lies in the upgrades to the game engine that have made it the de facto standard among "amateur" scenario makers. Nearly all the best CivII scenarios require Fantastic Worlds to run (and honestly, they are worth whatever the retailer wants you to fork over for the box).:)
