this game is really good i hope you let me try it for free thank you
  2. ( JohnT, 02-01-2000) Yes, better info can be found at Apolyton but that is beside the point. Game guides are meant for saps who: A. like to read game guides or, B. newbies. For a person who never played the Civ series his/her entire life, the Civ:ctp game guide would've been quite useful and on that basis alone I give it a 7.``
``Sadly, if you take all the info out of the Civ:ctp hint guide that should have been in the manual in the FIRST place, you’d have 2 pages remaining. There is a neat compromise in the gaming industry: the developer doesn't have to write a manual, and the book publisher gets to charge YOU an extra $20 bucks for it! What a great freakin' deal! No matter how great the hint guide, there is no reason to pay for the list of units, wonders, etc. that you should've received when you shelled out the initial $54.99 for this $#@!@$##$ game in the first place!!``
``a-hem. Excuse me while I feed my pet peeve. :)``
    ``Weighing the above arguments, I give it a 2.
  3. ( healinbear, 01-19-2000) As of the time of CTP's release the book was already a bit dated. It's a good read for the start, but you really need the additions found at Apolyton to make this game really shine.
