"Photo-realistic" just doesn't work for the units. The new "city" screen is alright. The Icons are fantastic! The terrain set is not one of my favorites. A good effort, though.

I hated it. It is very hard to see whether a square is irrigated or not.Particularly on grassland squares.

Good. The city styles look more realistic and impressive and looks a lot better than the default civ 2 graphics except when there's a lot of work done to the terrain (irrigation, railroads, fortresses, etc), then it becames very crowded looking and gets hard to tell what's what, especially because there are a lot of browns/greens. The interesting units make up for the terrain though. Get this if you want a new look, but don't expect a whole new game ;-p

WOW!!! The graphics are MUCH better than the originals. The only problem is that the Explorer is an airship???

If I play a game, I want it to be as realistic a possible. This MOD helps a lot, though I don't really like the city graphics. But what the hell, those units are simply the best!

I know it took a lot of work, but personally I find all units scaled down from photographs unappealing. The city graphics used are great, but only as eye candy on webpages. The main reason this modpack is a must-see is the magnificent graphic set used for the forests and the mountains. The mountain set joins two other great ones available on the net, while the forest set has no equals.

This is almost incredible! None of the other modpacks(2.42) even come close to this level of graphic detail. I will never go back to the old graphics. A MUST for all Civ2 fans! (Many thanks to the creators!, wish I could give a rating of 11)

Mr Tim Smith, thou art indeed a legend. The best I can do is thank you for improving my Civ2 experience out of sight. Your effort is greatly appreciated by us Civ2 fans, rest assured. And in support of Perry Ruthorford, I too am very glad to see the back of the wee dorks in the yellow suits. Gracias.

We think it's the best Civ 2 ModPack we've ever saw. The graphic is absolutely incredible, it probably took a tremendous effort.``We use the HiRes ModPack in different versions since we obtained it. Our only complaint about this version is the black message box on the diplomacy screen, which is very difficult to read.``Except this minor incovenient, we can say it's an almost perfect work. Don't miss it!

This is quite possibly my favorite Civ modpack ever, and I've seen quite a few. DOWNLOAD THESE GRAPHICS! Or better yet, download version 2...go through the older parts of the Civ Creation forum and you'll probably find it.
