Description:
Peter Weber has created this file.

The author has gone to considerable effort in developing a map that boasts a number of European geographic features such as — the Pontinic swamps south of Rome, the German islands in the North and Baltic Sea, the island of Elba, the wine hills of Beaujolais, the gold-mountains of Thracia, the lakes of Geneve, Konstanz and Verone, to name but a few. The 'read me' file that accompanies the map details these aspects further. The map itself stretches from the Ural Mountains down to Arabia, across to Western Sahara, and north to the British Isles. Players will be able to use a large portion of the map, as in particular the areas around Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine, and Kazakhstan have more arable terrain than is often found in other European and Eurasian maps.

  1. ( orange, 04-13-2001) This is really great! Must have taken the designer a long time to do. Very accurate, worth the download (much better than the Europe map used in the wwii scenario)
  2. ( Richard Bartle, 01-28-2001) A thoroughly good map, with tons of room to develop your civ before venturing off to stomp on everyone else's. As with any real-world accurate map, it's gratifying to see cities naturally appearing in the same place as they do in reality. Watch out for global warming; you're likely to have some very industrious cities towards the end.
