Description:
Focussing on the terrain around the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, this medium sized map is dominated by difficult terrain — desert throughout most of Arabia, and mountainous regions through Iran. The Tigris and Euphrates in the north-west quadrant of the map do however provide relief for the player, with surrounding grasslands and plains. The coastal region around the sea is almost exclusively a one-tile deep plains square, which does allow some (albeit difficult) opportunity for coastal cities. The map itself is medium-sized at 4,000 squares, and tribes have not been placed.
