These files can be used as a modpack or a patch and are based on the original civilization game. The files have been altered to mimic the advances, units and other features of the original game, creating a Civilization game with prettier graphics. The new civilizations, units, advances and improvements of Civ 2 have been disabled.

( Jacobite1688, 01-07-2003) The author could have done more with this one. For example, renaming the "Statue of Liberty" the "Pyramids". I would have liked to have seen the old graphics incorporated to some extent. A good effort, though.
( orange, 04-13-2001) Too bad you can't choose any of the 14 Civs :( One bad point about this scenario is that the Zulus and Americans quickly dominate (of course...they did in Civ 1 too)...and I think the city.txt hasn't been edited...but other than that, the scenario definitely serves its purpose. Great representation of Civ 1. Great job with the map!
