Almost a century has passed since the removal of the Roman legions in Britannia to defend Gaul against the Germans. The year is now 495AD a native Gallo-Roman prince becomes Emperor. His name is Arturius and he faces the formidabletask of restoring order to Britannia. The Saxon contingents have rebelled and the Angles and Juteshave decided to settle permanently on the east coast, but they are not going to be content with only that territory! Gerontius of the Dumnoni is Arturius's allyand he too will want to halt the Saxon rebels. Meanwhile the Irish are settling on the west coast of Britain and the Scots, having left Ireland for good, are now established on the west coast of Pictland. The Picts will want to send the Scots back to Ireland before it is too late! Most of the British in the north and west are now independantly ruled. Can Emperor Arturius save Britain from a Dark Age or will the "Barbarians" gaurantee it?
