  1. ( Maquiladora, 03-09-2005) "but there are huge low-res/blocky lines showing I-don't-know-what. Those low-res features ruin what could otherwise be a very good map" Er... did you notice those blocky parts are kinda running along all major rivers? and that rivers cant be generated with bmptoctp.... so it helps to have these marked out. Kinda late reply :p
  2. ( TheKOD, 12-01-2004) I download the Zip archive and unpack the 3 rar files ("Final Map.rar", "Final Map.r00" and "Final Map.r01"). When unpacking those files, I am asked to "insert the Final Map.r02" . As I have no such file, the package is said to be corrupted. What's wrong ?
  3. ( TheKOD, 12-01-2004) So, don't forget to download "second file" ;-) SORRY FOR IT !
  4. ( Net Fu, 03-28-2001) This map looked great but... since working with graphics and graphic design like this is my job, take my word on this:````-- never, ever use BMP files to store images larger than a couple of hundred kilobytes (never over 1mb). If you need a format that has zero data loss compression, use TIFF format with LZW compression. I saved this 222mb BMP into a 19mb TIFF and I know professionally none of the data will be lost. Also, if you select this huge BMP file in a folder in Win98 or later Windows will take FOREVER (3-4 minutes on my Pentium III 850) to show its automatic preview (I thought selecting or moving this file was crashing my computer but it was just churning out the stupid preview).````-- once I finally got this map opened in Photoshop, I was very disappointed because at 100% view many parts look extremely blocky. On second look, it looks like a lot of the detail is there, but there are huge low-res/blocky lines showing I-don't-know-what. Those low-res features ruin what could otherwise be a very good map.````Fix the file format so this thing isn't so unnecessarily huge, get rid of those blocky parts, and I think you'll have a 10 rating map...
