I'd be less concerned with how much or how little of Aki is left than with the reduced emotional/physical response that would lead to all sorts of unpleasant problems, including an increase of friction due to the decrease of lubrication.

I can't decide! No way to doubt Diedre's hotness and that Scottish brogue is a definite plus, but the voice I listen to the most when it comes up on tech advances or facilities built is Corazon Santiago's. She's got that "pin you down and call you Papi" thing going for her which is also extremely hot. I'm sorry...I can't choose between them...I guess they'll just have to fight over me...may the best faction win

First of all, Deirdre's voice accent is not Scottish. I don't know what the hell it is, but it's definitely not Scottish. The Firaxian talent scouts found a nice exotic accent for her, I'll admit it sounds good and gentle, but it has clearly never been anywhere near 200 miles of Glasgow. (Not that that's a bad thing.)

Secondly, don't judge Miriam by her in-game illustrations. When you meet her over the commlinks, several of the mini-window biographical photos show her to be a feisty, active, and attractive young woman like the rest of us. The manual also says that she is a charismatic leader - something the "Journey to Alpha Centauri" story reinforces. That means she gets people motivated and gets them doing stuff.

Deirdre is a vegetarian. Ever noticed how you never need a sign or T-shirt to identify the vegetarian in the group? That's right. Vegetarians are usually the ones who have just farted. But if that turns you on...

And Santiago always struck me as the sort who would eat her mate afterwards.

Personally, her fanatacism makes me shiver in all the WRONG ways. Maybe she isn't insane from the get go, but oh dear God does she end up that way.

I always wondered how people like her justify breaking all their own religious laws. Then I remember.

Another interesting woman is Aki-Zeta-5. Her pure logic and super intellect seems to turn off most of the guys. Perhaps they are uncomfortable with the thought of a woman who is a blonde 'and' highly intelligent.

They already know how it's done. the process, however, is messy, emotionally charged, and to be perfectly honest, HORRIDLY inefficient.

Especially when compared with lower life forms. When a dog goes into heat and gets it on, she has puppies almost invariably, whereas having children amongst huumans is a hit-or-miss-maybe-not-but-maybe-so affair.

So all it is, in their eyes, is a necessary evil that, unfortunately, is firmly established and required in emotional thinking and doesn't even always work... so it's basically a lot of work for only an occasional return in their eyes.

Which means, I suppose, that they absolutely adore the Cloning Vats.
