On page Five of the Offtopic Thread for the Apolytoner's Hall of Fame are the results for the August 2005 induction ceremonies.
Around 200 posters voted for over 155 different members of the site.
The triumphant winners this round are:
Immortal Wombat Well known for his CTP2 mod development, Immortal Wombat was Apolyton?s first perpetual Prince (though having over 4500 posts, he still retains the title). He now posts mainly in the Off Topic forum.
Master Zen A major Democracy Game player and Multiplayer for Civilization III, Master Zen seems to be everywhere- from the Spanish Forums to the Civ III, to everywhere in-between.
Thank you everyone for voting, and please look forward to the December Edition of the Hall of Fame when FOUR new members will be inducted!

APOLYTONERS` HALL OF FAME: AUGUST 2005

Well, it's that time of the year again- The Apolytoners' Hall of Fame is doing its Quarterly Inductions and it's time for the Fall Class of 2005 to make it into the Hall.
This time TWO lucky posters will join the 72 happy members of the hall!

NEW CTP2 PLAYTEST RELASED

Once again a new playtest of CTP2 is ready for testing. Visit us in the the the Apolyton Source Code Forum for playtesting and helping us to find all the bugs.
JBytheway, who posted the new playtest build, says, "Here's another version. It crashes on exit for me, which is not such a good sign, but otherwise appears to work OK, so I thought I'd upload it anyway."
To install, download the three files and extract them into your CTP2 directory. Again, this version was not compiled in .NET, so it is not necessary to have the .NET runtime environment (or the two dlls mentioned in the first post) to use it. Of course, having them will not hurt anything.

Fixed: Updating of values caused by alteration of sliders on national management dialog
Fixed: Bug preventing rush buying an item inserted before Capitalization or Infrastructure

FINAL ROUND IS UNDERWAY!

Apolyton, through a selection process, was given Sumeria, as it's Civ to play in the final round of the C3C ISDG that started nearly 2 years ago. The other teams will be represented by the following Civ's and will play in this turn order:
CDZ: Iroquois
BAT: India
CGN: Celts
CBR: Dutch
APO: Sumeria
PAL: Maya
CDZ (Civ3 Duel Zone) received the first turn for play today and have 24 hours to play it and send to the next team. Of course, this being the first turn, it may take a bit longer than 24 hours for things to get settled as far as the team making decisons on whether to start where they find their settler or take a risk in moving to a better location. Each team will have to struggle with this choice more than likely.
The game is being hosted by what used to be called "Civilization Design Group" (CDG). They have changed their name and also where their site is hosted. It is now known as "Evolution Games." You can check to see that status of the game here

APOLYTONER`S HALL OF FAME RESULTS!

Yes, that's right- the Hall of Fame has concluded its most recent election with over 230 voters participating- voting for over 160 different posters and placing over 200 votes for two of the three inducted posters for this round!
A special congratulations goes out to the three new inductees- Ted Striker, DarkCloud, and Paddy the Scot

DarkCloud Deity of Lists and Civ3 Stories Editor, DarkCloud began the Hall of Fame in December 2000, and has run the Apolyton 100- a listing of over 100 apolytoners who have made the site what it is today, complete with biographical details such as location, place born, registration date, etc. He also runs the Apolyton: the Book website which contains anecdoes and histories about apolyton. He has been active in most diplomatic games at various times in their histories, but is best known for compiling the Civ IV list, posting AC-Fiction tales- running the Chiron Chronicle as GM for over a year, and running the Civ III stories section voting polls. He makes frequent appearances in Other Games, and in the Apolyton/Community section and loves Apolyton very dearly. 
Paddy the Scot A proud member of Apolyton Storywriters' Guild, a player of the great game Civilization, and a staunch supporter of the Community of Apolyton. Most days he can usually be found playing a Civ III PBEM or hanging out in one of various Civ III Demo Game Forums, either leading a team, providing strategic advice, or just having fun and participating along with all the other blokes.
Ted Striker Frequent Off Topic poster. Former conservative American and Civ II player who used to contribuite to The Column and write news updates for the game- but now he is disillusioned with the USA and with Civ III, oh how do times change. Idolizes Robert F. Kennedy and is obsessed with the Miami Heat Dancers. "I'd hit it.

Dear Members of the Apolyton Community,
It is my great pleasure to announce that site owners MarkG and DanQ have taken the liberty to elevate the profile of the Apolytoner's Hall of Fame and adorn it with its own civgroup and news-announcing capabilities.
Also, as designed by Harry Tuttle, we now have an amazing new icon for all 67 current members (and 3 incoming members)

I bring you further word on the Clan Miyoshi.
The years have passed well and now a new Daiymo has stepped up to take the Clan forward. The Chaniwa Bonsai is a relaxing place, I have taken to spending many an hour conducting various administration duties on one of the upper balconies. From here the views over the valley are quite spectacular.
I hereby present the papers and discussion thread of our new Daiymo, Toshiro Ormuzawa.
The Clan has been in a war for some time and developments have taken place as recorded in the attached files.
