	Conquests V1.22 Suffering from ads?

Hey guys, just FYI..

I have done some testing tonight and this game is indeed compatible with v1.22 as it's a "modded game". However not all PBEMs are compatible with v1.22. So I'm including what I did to still be able to play in both v1.15 and v1.22 by interchanging.

Before upgrading to v1.22, make a folder called V1.15 in the Civilization directory (not the Conquests). Copy (not cut) EVERYTHING in the Conquests folder over to the V1.15 folder. Then use the patch upgrade to v1.22. Then make a folder called V1.22 in the Civilization directory. Copy (not cut) EVERYTHING that is now in the Conquests folder over to the V1.22 folder.

EDIT: If you have separate folders for 1.15 and for 1.22 then all you need to do is hit the .exe for 1.15 to go back to 1.15 to play that version. Then click on the 1.22 .exe file to go back to 1.22 Thanks to UnOrthOdOx for that.

Anyway, that seems like the easiest way to me to be able to switch between versions for now. If anyone has an easier way please say so.

D*mn, I thought I had done away with duel installs with the end of the SPDG I.....

:sigh:

I'll see about doing that soon, and we can poll everyone about upgrading this game. When we do upgrade it, let's do it on my turn.

Sounds fine to me. I haven't found any problems with v1.22 yet so I'm for it.

EDIT: I just heard about a bug where military leaders can rush great wonders again, but not units or other buildings. Wait on the upgrade.

This is worst than the Initial release of Vanilla Civ3. First, they go and change things that were "unbalanceing against the AI", even when the majority of people now play MP/PBEM, now they can't even get them right.

We will wait again for another patch, to fix the patch, that fixes the patch, etc, etc, etc.........that fixes the game that they broke after extensive playtesting.....

I have dual (qell, quadruple actually) installs, but as yet I have not seen ONE reason to use 1.22 for anything. With my much reduced activity on the boards recently (although I will keep my PBEMs up), can you guys let me know when/if a patch later than 1.15beta becomes essential/fixed completely/worth it for some reason? Cheers.
