It depends. You can die but I got money, hitpoints, increased attack or increased defense as well.

No.

Well, I suppose you could buy a new one when the old one is tired, but that could get expensive. Useful for the few times you are planning on upgrading the mount though. The higher-end dragons (red dragons, at least) stay with you for 30 rounds rather than 20.

Shadowfax

It's actually a bit of a problem -- I get 10 extra forest fights per day with Shadowfax, and I'm never damaged while Shadowfax is in play (so my forest fights don't decrease) and I kill most of my enemies in 1 or 2 rounds (so Shadowfax sticks around for about 30 fights or so). Twice now I've died before going below 50 forest battles, and so the bank won't give me interest (never mind that I fought about 30 battles before dying).

One of my altar sacrifices was rejected (I hadn't expected them to reject a Strong Monster sacrifice, and I especially hadn't expected them to reject it with such finality), and another time I died drinking from a pond or stream or waterfall or something. I generally don't participate in any of the potentially dangerous special events unless I've got less than 20-ish forest battles left, but I've always drunk from the streams/waterfalls/etc. ever since I got a permanent 50 HP boost from one of them.

I got a crystal dragon, but soon sold it back and bought shadowfax again. Crystal dragons give you an extra 90 forest battles per day, and I just didn't have the time to fight enough battles to earn interest at the bank.

I've also sold my house back, since apparently you're immune to taxes if you haven't got a house.

You can torment creatures in the graveyard and earn favor with Ramius. Get 100 favor and he'll resurrect you. If you're killed in the graveyard you don't lose any experience, you just lose the rest of your Torments for the day. Also, favor carries over from your previous death, so if you're not able to make it to 100 favor don't waste what favor you've got on Haunting people, since you can apply that favor to a Resurrection the next time you die. On the next day you'll automatically come back to life if you're still dead.

Loin: How much interest are you earning each day? It would seem to me that doing an additional 40 fights with a dragon helping you would outweigh interest earned.

I've got a green dragon right now.

Have the money, but not the gems.

You could always buy a house right before you fight the dragon, deposit gold and gems, then sell it after you start over.

But that's too much work.

At the moment I'm averaging about a hundred grand in interest, and it's quickly compounding itself. Ideally I'd use up all of my extra battles in order to get the gold from fighting and the interest from the bank, but the one time I did that it took two and a half hours to use up all of my fights. (I did succeed in killing the green dragon on my first day in the process, though, so having a crystal dragon around certainly has its advantages.)

Go to Bluespring's Warrior Training and select "question master." Your current master will either tell you how much more experience you need to earn in order to challenge him, or else he'll say something like "Gosh you're strong" in which case you're ready to fight him.
