I suppose this is the point at which I should say that I wear ear studs (one in each ear) and three rings on my right hand (just the wedding ring on the left).
As this is an internet site you can insinuate that I am gay or whatever quite safely. I would not advise doing so whilst standing within earshot though.
I think it depends on how you do it. A few appropriate bits of jewellery can be OK with a celtic warrior kind of look but men should not, as a rule, wear more jewellery than women or jewellery that could get them mistaken for being on their way to a cross-dressers convention.
