The advance of the Neo-Warsaw Pact armies has been halted at the outskirts of Munich. Few things can terrify the German people so much as the thought of invading Slavs. There are unproven rumors of mass looting and pillaging by Russian soldiers in the occupied regions of eastern Germany. None can be proven at this time.

The Russian General Staff, now facing the wrath of an angry President Putin, has assured the President that with a few thousand more conscripts, several thousand tanks from storage, and the bringing out of over a thousand warplanes and bombers from storage, the Russians will again have the decisive advantage and France will be crushed.

Five men stood at a railroad line. The first man nodded at the other four. They all sprinted back into the woods. The mournful hoot of a Russian supply train broke the night silence around Passau. The locomotive passed by the men in hiding, one of them pressed a button on a small control. An explosion shook the train tracks throwing train cars and debris everywhere. The five men jumped up and cheered.

"Fuer der Widerstand" screamed the men. Already men were cursing in Russian and dogs began to bark. All over German teritory Der Widerstand (The Resistance) had been sabotaging train lines and Russian operations.

A raucous group of Russian soldiers were laughing and drinking in a German beer hall. Two men sat in the corner talking quietly. Both of them stood up and exited the bar. All other German patrons save the barkeeper walked out of the bar. One Russian soldier stumbled drunkinly along the street. The two Germans walked up to the quite inebriated Russian and spoke.

"Do you need help Comrade?" asked the Germans. The Russian nodded dumbly. The Germans led the Russian into an alley where they faced him against the wall. One German pulled out a handgun and put it to the Russians head and pulled the trigger. The Russian jerked and slumped against the wall where he slid to the ground leaving a swathe of blood on the wall. The other German spoke into a walkie-talkie.

"Alles ist fertig" said the German. Inside the bar the barkeeper replaced the walkie-talkie back into his beer barrel. Three Russian soldiers exited the bar. The barkeeper pressed a button under the bar and spoke softly.

"I die for Der Widerstand" he said in German. An instant the bar exploded in flames. The Russian soldiers barely had a chance to scream before they died. Out on the street the German resistance members scrambled to get into their getaway car. The Russian soldiers had already grabbed their automatic weapons. Immediatly the Germans drew their handguns and a firefight ensued. Shots rang out and one Russian soldier slumped to the ground dead. Automtic weapons fire blanketed the area and one German was almost blown to pieces. The firefight continued until all three Russians were dead. The surviving two Germans lept into the car. One rolled and yelled out.

"Dosvadonya Weibsstucke" he screamed as the car sped away.

OOC: Napoleon, Nimitz class are supercarriers. They are the largest ships in the world, and although there are variants on them, it is the class as a whole. Also, do you have a problem with me adding a Missouri to my forces? Also, what about adding territory that is unclaimed. Must we do it by conquest, or is there some way that we can peacefully annex it?

US Fleet puts to Sea
From Little Creek, NJ, Boston, Mass and Groton, Conn, a major United States Task Force put to sea with unknown intentions. This powerful force includes the two Nimitz class carriers of the US Fleet, and the Iowa class battleship USS Missouri. Also included in this force are several Marine Landing Ships. As of now, intentions from this force are unknown, but President Casee will anounce their objective at a conference tomorrow.

Advanced Plane Finished with Testing Stages, Ready For Production.
At the High Technology Aerospace Weapons Center, in Minot, ND today, it was announced that final tests have been finished on the XFB-3 Skystriker. This advanced plane will be coming online, in small squadrons in a couple of years.

National Referendum to Be Held
A national vote will be held in a month on the issue raised by New Western America on possible reunification.

Emergency Military Bill Passes Senate
The Emergency Forces Act passed the Senate today by a vote of 26-16. This bill will result in huge increses in all brances of the armed forces, and a new branch being activated. President Casee will explain the bill and his reasoning behind it at tomorrows press conference also.

OOC: Haha Sigma... nice try. ASAT's can't touch high orbit material and I don't recall you ever establishing that you had Hunter Killer sattelites. Exactly who did you get them from? Russia? I don't think so. They're the only ones that ever developed 'em--BTW HIGH ORBIT is where most military and critical sattelites are located. Otherwise you'd be knocking out telephone, weather, etc. sattelites that about half the developed world use.

Every time a UN hunter killer tried to maneuver to a higher orbit, Ground based radars would pick it up (either from Russia or Japan). The much newer JSAT's would pivot an accelerator and put the hunter killer out of its sad misery.

OOC - No you see what is very funnny is that Germany was a world power. In one post Scott F invades Germany destroys the Reichswehr, Luftwaffe, and knocks me from the world power pedastel. I've lost Austria, the Czech Republic, and ahh WTF most of my land. And apparently I surrendered. All in ONE post. Excuse me it's time for an IC post.

All over Germany at the same time partisans involved in Der Widerstand struck. Every single Russian supply line, depot, and trains were destroyed by well placed DW bombs. And every single Russian soldier in Germnay was killed. Official Neo-Warsaw Pact reports show that DW partisans struck with every weapon available. Most taken from the massive van der Tann munitions works. The Russians were than swiftly and cleanly repulsed by the remaining Reichswehr soldiers. The Reichswher and DW advanced rapidly. In a matter of three days Berlin, Austria, and the Sudetenland was back in German hands. It is not expected what Russia will do now. However many skilled and vital Russian commanders are in German hands or killed by their own hand.

To Russia - Your pitiful invasion has failed. Although you thought you had the upperhand you do not. Be assured that the DW and Reichwher will not rest. The Kriegsmarine which you did not touch has set sail from Kiel with 4 Landmarine corps. If you do not surrender St. Petersburg will be in German hands tomorrow.

Given the resistance of the German swine, orders have been given for the execution of Contingency Plan Delta.

Russia will not tolerate further civilian resistance in occupied Germany. They will be dealt with harshly. The end result will be the death of every civilian in Germany. It is your choice. But know this: we will bury you.

France shall agree to unconditional surrender or they will be destroyed.

Off the Antarctic Coast:
Two Russian carrier battlegroups began to launch sorties against the UN bases. But instead of bombs, they carried mysterious payloads of a compound known as VX, the most deadly and destructive nerve gas known to mankind. (OOC: VX actually exists IRL. The Russians and the US both produced a substantial amount of it. No other nation except Britain knows how to produce it and no other nations have stockpiles of it. In the mid-1990s, the US began to destroy its entire stockpile of VX. Contact with VX causes a near instantaneous violent death. It is a volatile substance. It eats though all most all known forms of plastic, rendering almost all gas masks and NBC suits useless. It is nearly impossible to clean up or destroy after being used.) After several days of air strikes, life no longer existed anywhere in Antartica. The UN was effectively neutralized.

We are greatly pleased by your acceptance of our alliance proposal. 50 metric tons of VX have been delivered for all of your conquering and extermination needs.

In the Western areas of the NWP:
All NWP personel and citizens have been issued special NBC suits to prevent possible deaths should the enemy attack us.

Bombers and fighters are being loaded with special weaponry carrying VX gas. Should the enemies of the NWP continue to resist, they will soon begin sorties against French positions and concentrations of German resistance.

In the skies over continental Europe:
The Russians had grown tired of the stubborn German resistance and the typically anal retentive policies and actions of the French. The NWP began to dispatch bombers and fighters carrying VX gas to attack France and Germany.

The raids continued day and night. Vast quantities of VX have been dropped with terrifying results. Despite the Germans and French equipping their populations with protection from these types of attacks, it was all for nothing. The designers of the chemical weapons air filters used by the French and the Germans had assumed that only madmen would ever use VX gas, and therefore, the gas masks and air filters were not designed to filter out VX gas. (OOC: IRL this is true. Almost all gas masks and filters lack the capacity to filter out VX, for this very reason.)

For days and nights, again and again, the Russian and NWP warplanes dropped VX gas over Germany and France. Whole cities ceased to exist in a matter of hours after the attacks. Winds had begun to blow large concentrations of VX gas across much of Western Europe, leaving a wake of corpses and dead cities and towns.

The NWP had begun to suffer heavy aircraft losses during its campaigns, but these losses were easily replaced by new production warplanes and by bringing equipment out of storage. After a week of gas attacks, over half of the combined populations of Germany and France were dead. It is expected that a mere three weeks of continued bombing will be needed to ensure the deaths of all human and animal life in continental western Europe. (Winds will blow the gas over much of Italy, Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal as well.)

Today, Italy, England, and Spain had joined the War on France's and seeingly also on Germany's side. They don't want the Russians to rule Europe, no one does. Greater France, Italy, England and Spain join into the European Confederation, which is also the first step into European Unity. It is more or less an alliance.

To Germany:
We propose a temperary alliance until the war is over!

To Russia:
The European Confederacy is willing to give peace now, before any major conflict in France. No territoral changes, just peace.

With that said, an elite regiment was formed. Nicknamed the European Army, this Inter-European Army has all the latest equipment, and is one of the best regiments in Europe.

Slovenia and Crotia has allowed the French/English/Spainish/Italian Forces though their territory. With a defensive line that made the western Front secure, The Army has invaded via Hungary and Yugoslavia, where the Warsaw Army is weak.

Ladies and Gentlemen, my fellow Americans, a time of crisis is upon us. From all areas of Earth, we feel that evil is reigning. Countries are engaged in genocide against one another. The once great United Nations has shown us that nothing is incorruptible, and has started to play at power politics.
In this time of crisis, we must band together and protect ourselves. The First Fleet has put to sea under my orders to try and help evacuate civilians from Europe. Designated the European Relief Force, its primary mission is relief and humanitarian aid. The carriers and Marines are there for protection of the force, along with the First Infantry Division. We will be landing, but only to set up a secure perimeter for an aid site, and a primary evacuation point. To both sides in the European War. Do not interfere. We will fight for neither side, but make sure that the people of Europe are cared for while you are resolving your disputes.
Japan has shown herself to be an unpredictable force in today's world. We are calling, publicly upon the Japanese, to take down their satellite defense system. This system threatens all peace loving people in the world. Bring it down yourself, or you will not like the consequences.
As for the UN, we have decided to withdraw from active participation, and see what they do. During this review period, we will not join in any votes, or any sactions, or pay any dues.
People of the United States, we must defend ourselves. The Senate has passed the Emergency Forces Act, and I am signing it into law. What does this mean for you, the American working man or woman?
Jobs will increase as the defense industry is geared back up. We will be building another Nimitz class carrier at Boston naval yards, but completion will take another 4-5 years. Groton, Connecticut will begin work on three Spearfish class advanced tactical attack submarines with in the month, and shipyards in Philadelphia and Little Creek will begin work on AEGIS cruisers and advanced Frigates.
The Air Force is also being revamped. The new FB-3 Skystriker will form the backbone of our forces, but full deployment is still a few years away. As for now, the F-15s, 16s, 22s and the B-1s and 2s will continue to form the backbone of our air force, but will be increased in size by two wings.
The Army will also be increased, and reorganized. Based on the M-1A4 Abrams and the AH-64D Longbow Apaches, ten H-ACRs will be formed, replacing the current two armored divisions. Also, three L-ACR will be formed for worldwide rapid deployment. Also, we will be doubling the force size in the next ten years.
And now, for the announcement of the creation of a new service. The United States Space Forces has been enacted by the Senate, with th following mission. "To preserve protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States above and beyond to limits of the sky." This service will be responsible for all space activities, inluding defense, and offense if need be.
My fellow Americans, this is a time of great peril. Be strong, and we will survive to once again be named among the world superpowers.

Second Thing

This Orbital Weapons thing is realistic but I am ruling that a shuttle must be sent up after each firing to reload it. The Total process takes one month. Also, the Orbital Weapon uses special armaments that cost approximately 1.2 Billion for a shipload. I don't mind the Orbital Weapon, it is pretty kool, but you have only one and it will cost a shitload of money to maintain.

Basically on Antartica was damaged. The UN still lives elsewhere.

OOC: Anybody else getting the hint that this thread is out of control and a wee bit rediculous? That's what I thought. Onward comrades!

Nap: A 50 pound sattelite has to reload each time it uses a set of 4 4-ounce slugs? I'll admit they probably can't fire more than 10-15 times, but You really don't need much umf to something traveling 40,000 miles per hour through the atmosphere.

About the realism of this orbital weapon: Linear accelerators are already on-the-shelf weaponry. It wouldn't take much to miniturize them over the next 10 years. They don't even have to send the Slugs along at a fantastic pace. Earth's gravity takes care of the speed issue. If it were to say, leave the barrel at Mach 50 (which is plasuable considering the space shuttle goes Mach 23 on no power through space). It would impact the earth with something of the magnitude of small nuclear weapon since it's going at around 80,000 miles per hour. Then of course, you have the atmosphere trailing behind it only spreading the chaos.

Japan was quickly speeding the new "Milk-cow" sattelites to new launch bases in Kazahkstan for deployment to High Orbit. It would take some time to service and reload 40 sattelites. Then again, 8 had never fired a shot.

The UN would be made to pay 10x over for the Tokyo incident. 4,000 dead. At least 13,000 injured. It would have been worse if civil planners had not incorporated reinforced steel, windows, and other safety features to protect against a natural disaster (either typhoon or earthquake).

Japanese military analysts are thankful the blast was not larger. While a blast of this magnitude leveled Hiroshima, it would have no chance of leveling a modern city. Most office buildings received a thorough scorching and had their windows blown out. No doubt more than $40 Billion worth of damage was done to the city. Most of the deaths came from fires after the blast that picked up the debris scattered about.

"Wir sind fertig Kommandant" said the young sergeant. Captain Dieter Frymier nodded and turned to give orders to the ships crew. The entire German fleet was sailing into St. Petersburg. The Germnas had ahd enough of the Russian bastards destroying them. It was time to take the war to them. A second later ship's guns began to explode. The city of St. Petersburg exploded brilliantly in flames. More artillery barrages began as the transports moved in toward port. What Russian resistance there was was neutralized. But two transports were lost in the process. The Landmarine soldiers landed and in a matter of two hours the city of St. Petersburg was in German hands. In retribution for the Russian atrocities against Germany every man, woman, and child in St. Petersburg was killed. The city was than summarily razed to the ground. The next day the German forces swung out toward Estonia.

OOC - Leave Spain open. Because after my resistance movement is destroyed maybe 2 or 3 posts from now I'm taking Spain.

First Class of Officers Lifts To SS Freedom
The first officers of the USSF have launched to the SS Freedom. The space station, which started as the ISS, but became Freedom when no other country but the US did something with it is now the HQ for the USSF. As part of the USSF, Freedom is to be maneuverd into geosynchonous orbit over the US, and be provided with several kietic slug launchers for defens of the continental US. Plans are underway for a offensive force to be added, but development may take several years.

Prime Director Gallentious has released a press statement with much difficulty. The use of weapon X was never intended to be surprise attack. But the VX assualts on HQ Unity destroyed all communication equipment, making it impossible to deliver an untimatum to Tokyo or to warn its citizens. It also made it impossible for a message to be sent to the rest of the free world. But UNS Majestic, one of the UN's 3 SNN's, was able to recieve to priority one message and relay it to more powerful broadcast centers in the world. The message read as follows
