Well, you probably won't hear from me for a little while. I'm off to the main drag to look for a good deal. I probably won't find one, but damnit all!

Anyone know why I can buy it online for $9, but to buy it locally it costs me $30?

Well, my father owes me $30. I have plenty of cash in the bank, I just don't want to spend $20 extra for the darn thing. I just spent $117 on a hard drive, and I thought I would limit my spending till the rebates came back. Oh well, darn it!

So, subject to Dan O returning with his game earlier than expected, the new countdown is now T minus 4 hours 30 minutes and counting.

If by the end of the count down, Dan cannot find the game, we will start with the 4 human players and 3 AI's (7 total). Does this sound fair to everyone?

why not start it now? dan even said he probably' won't find it.

dan should just buy it online and play when he gets it. in the meantime we could start the game

good point and since Dan goes third there would be some time before he would even receive the save. Besides, if he ends up not being able to find the game, his civ can be retired from the game...
