its great that there is happy ending. I use to work for UPS & there is adifferent procedure for high value packages. The only way something like that comes up missing is 1. the zipped bag with a safety seal has been broken coming down the conveyor belt 2.The trusted employee opens bag & HELPS HIMSELF 3.The mgr HELPS HIMSELF ( has happened w/ jewelry before where i worked) 4. the driver HELPS HIMSELF 5. some other knucklehead HELPS HIMSELF

The package has to be signed for every step of the way
