And if he simply wanted to cut all ties to 'Poly and whatever other forums he frequented, it would have been much simpler to simply say he was leaving, rather than to have a story concocted about his death. I certainly hope that isn't the case, but it has happened before in other forums I frequent (people faking their deaths).

I used to always look in the Shipmate at the obituaries first. We lost a lot of pilots in the first couple hyears. And then GW1 and Pentagon, we lost a couple each.
