The Oklahoma comment isn't too far off, but a better stereotype is either that we're all Native Americans or extremely self-righteous, Oklahoma didn't earn the nickname of being "the gaudy brass buckle of the Bible Belt" for nothing.

My theory of state stereotypes in the U.S. is that the insults generally go from northeast to southwest, i.e. New Yorkers make fun of Pennsylvanians, who joke about Marylanders, who joke about West Virginians, who joke about Kentuckians, who joke about Tenneseans, and so on...
It all ends at Mississippi, though. Mississippi is the worst of the worst.
