Who do you think chased those commies out of Greece?

I was about to come to this thread and propose you have special forces as a Greek unit(the elite Evzones alpine troops were disbanded by that time), but i see you came up with it first.

The special forces of the time were called ËÏÊ(Lochos oreinon Katadromon-alpine special forces regiment), and were hand trained by the SAS. Splendid troops all of them-and monarchists to the core.

The Greek army still has ËÏÊ units by the way.

The problem with Israel being in the WARPAC is that is was by no means a Soviet type of country. Israeli "communism" on the kibbutz was rather different from the Soviet and Chinese systems. Also, Israel is an anomaly in some ways. At this time it had both American and Soviet support.

Yep, most of the agricultural workers (i.e. kibutzniks) were Russian Jews or their children, near universally communists.
However, most of the urban Jews were German, British, American, or sabras. All were leftist, but not communists, more of socialists, and were not supporters of the Soviet Union.

Besides, the Arabs were pro-anyone but the British, Americans, or Jews. Do you think that they would stand for being allied with the Israelis, or their allies?

UPDATE:

I have the tech tree sorted.
It will be a straightforward process of fixing the rules henceforth.

Then I will use civ-cty to fix the map, place the units, then it is playtest time!

Maybe make Israel neutral and either side can "convince" Israel to fight with them.

Where do the Arabs fit in though? If Israel is neutral, what are the Arabs? Because then the Arabs and Israel would get along.

Perhaps Israel could be made a rebel state and let the differing factions fight over it.

I have events-created Israeli Panzers, which could be brought into the fight be the side that takes over the city.

The Arabs will be a minor mix of rebel and east-nuetral cities.

Curt the soldier appears fine. Thing is that all photos of the era are black and white so i can't seriously assert the uniform colour. It was certainly not white though.

I would guess they wore the same uniform as the British special forces.

The hellenic army's site(www.army.gr) is crap and it screws up if the english language is selected.

I am sure Tanelorn can shed more light in this.

P.S and the LOK weren't paras btw, if thats what you are implying with the wings over his shield.
