I don't know about your state, but mine doesn't require parallel parking as part of its driving test.

Some states do now require people over a certain age to take a driving test. For some reason I thought that Florida was one of them.

Federal law regulates how many hours a truck driver can work withour resting and how much rest he has to have within a 24 hour period. You can't be certified to drive a truck if you have uncontrolled narcolepsy or catalepsy.

Not so many of these around anymore - but when I started driving old men wearing fedoras or panama hats were the most dangerous.


They drove very slowly but had the sinister capacity to cause accidents without getting caught in the crash or indeed being aware of the awful pileups behind them.
