I love wasabi, especially in the summer, or in winter if my sinuses are playing up. I adore that clean strong hit of spice that you get with it, but it doesn't leave your mucous membranes feeling as though they've been painted with bleach.
I'm very partial to bush tomato chutney, garlic pickle (Indian style- whole garlic cloves wrapped in a fiery paste) and green mango chutney.
Worcestershire sauce is great with so many things- in stock, with gravy, in fish dishes, in egg dishes, in soups.
I like oyster sauce on steamed ho fan, too. And black bean sauce on steamed fish, or spare ribs (grilled or steamed) or with wok cooked noodles.
Wattle seeds are great too- you can put them in drinks (like a chocolate style beverage) or in ice cream, or grind them for dusting cappuccinos, or add them to gravies or basting liquids (like chocolate in Mexican moles)...
