I don't particularly follow any poster around, Anun Ik Oba. But if I'm reading something, and it's posted by someone I "know" or who's been around for quite some time, I'm more likely to reply. It's kind of like being more comfortable with those you've been around a while rather than any sort of perceived nastiness on my part.

But if you want, I can start dogging you as time permits.

Doable, sure. And has been done before.
Actually, I remember from when I first joined someone (won't name names) went from 0 to 100 posts in the Civ3 forum in 3 days. Then of course went back to 0 and got restricted for a while. But still, they posted on topic that much. Imagine what they could do without any topic prerequisits.

I did this just after I registered at Simtropolis, after 3 days I had posted in threads in all kinds of forums, though after these 3 days I stopped posting that much, since there weren't any more threads I haven't already posted my oppinion in. And off-topic posts did count, but I only posted there like 3 times



And to the obvious question: No, I didn't even post one single spam post

well in my day , the people posting bout post counts got an automatic reduction of post counts, so beware you young players , the mighty ming maybe awakened soon, and once that beast from mingapulco and his evil twin rah from rahcaltraz appear there will be no post counts left at all....


seriously though folks, who cares, no one actually worships the deitys round here, no one respects the emporers, we repsect the ones who post well, good on topic stuff, thats the thing that keeps us coming back here .....

Aargh-- I hate when people do this here! It's so obvious when a settler/warlord (usuall) goes straight down the line posting something, anything, in all of the threads. ( I probably did it myself )

I was planning on staying in the forum, but after 3 days I started getting annoyed by the forum software they use... I do still post a msg from time to time, but not much...

and imagine... you cant keep talking to yourself... you'll eventually run out of thread to reply to. And civ3 isnt that active enough for you to post couple of times in same thread in one day....

Bah! All these DGs have caused e.g. me and Kassiopeia to drop from the top 100. Not to mention many other classic posters like Lefty. Someone should finally make the DG forums non accountable. Just calculated that one has to spam a helluva lot to stay in top 100, if being near the end of the list, as there's so many DG'ers closing on.
