It's a mistake allright - it's yours They are called the 3 series, 5 series, 6 series etc. Then each model is given an E## number, i.e., the 1996-2002 fiver is known as E39, of which I am a proud owner.

I drive a 98 Tercel myself and haven't had any probelms with it other than the fact it is a 98 Tercel.
It's very noisy in the cab (poor insulation), uncomfortable, the suspension is hard and the parts are expensive.
But it's cheap, cheap on gas and reliable... so i don't have to buy those expensive parts that often.

All in all, i recommend it when you're on a tight budget.

97 Jeep Cherokee, 4 door

Has ~120k miles on it, got it in May of 2000 with about 50k miles on it. Never had a problem with it.

currently pondering: xm radio. I have a kenwood 10disk changer in it, I put a ton of miles on it when I first got it, a long distance relationship will do that, was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I find xm radio to be very intriguing.

I like my vehicles. Wifey drives a 2001 Grand Prix, and I drive a '98 GMC. Truck is paid for, car has a year or so left... Normal problems, but am happy. Especially since in California your really need a vehicle or it will take you forever to get any where.

If your going to buy a truck or some sort of sporty car I think American is the way to go... American trucks are tried and true and it is easier and cheaper to service American cars... Yet, if you want to go economy than Japanesse is the way to go.

Honestly, I see no reason to buy European cars, unless who have a crap load of money and don't know what to do with it.

I had a 96 Ford Contour SE. I loved it. From inside to outside. One year ago I was turning left on a green arrow and was hit by a car rushing the red light directly toward me. The car was totaled. I was alive without a scratch. Now I'm driving a Japanese car. But I miss my contour so much.

Put an end to popups!

Everyone I know who has had a Honda (most of my friends, actually, it got ridiculous at one point. Damn near all of us were driving them, until Tom decided he couldn't take it anymore and got a Cherokee) has had very good experiences with them.

I have the '02 Accord, and my girlfriend has her '98 Accord (purchased in '00, used), and they've both been just great.

Eek. Do I sound like an Ad?

this sounds a bit like my family. Both my Grandmother and Sister drive Honda civics. Quite a nice little car. The outlier is my wife who drives a ford escort. Both the Cherokee and the Escort totally paid off, thank god.

Probably impacted going about 30 mph, the car crumpled, the air bags deployed, and I walked away with bumps and bruises.
