It was a nice morning today. The sun was shining bright, and the fluffy white clouds were running across the sky. Rah was heading towards alva's butcher shop to get some of those steaks and sausages, that were so popular among the guests at his inn, and were almost all gone through the last three nights of partying. As rah pushed the door to the butcher shop, the doorbell rang as usual. Rah sniffed the air. He always liked the smell of smoked meat in alva's butcher shop... Rah called out for the owner, but there came no reply (gasp!). The man looked around but found no sign of alva, so he decided to go into the back of the shop, where alva usually prepared the meat.
In the back of the shop, rah found alva on the table. There was a hatchet embedded in his chest. The blade went right through the rib cage. Next to alva lay a bloodied chef's knife. His left leg seemed oddly twisted. As rah cam closer, he saw that a large part of the thigh was sliced away. The flesh was being smoked nearby... Alva's face was sliced up, also, and of course, there was the ever-present cord tied around the butcher's neck so tight that embedded itself into the flesh.
