MP2 is a damn fine game. Although I still slightly favour the first game, this was a very worthy sequel.

I wonder what they're going to do for the next Max Payne game...?

As for the topic "Greatest Action Game Ever", here's another competitor (Still not better than Duke Nukem 3D though ):

A few days ago the demo for UT2k4 was just released. It's a mixture between UT and UT2k3, with some added (and re-added) game modes...
The "link-mode" game-mode is great, I don't remember the official name for it though...
...and Assasination is back from UT again... God I missed that one



I can't give you a link from were I got this game though, since I "downloaded" it from my room-mate's computer

Okay, need help, where is the fookin' gun at the start of the 3rd chapter? Do I need to try to beat-up one of the badies. I've done about 25 reloads and searched (I think) all of the cabinets. Starting to reach the frustration level.

I finished the first Max Payne, and I loved the story. The dream sessions where kinda annoying but that's ok. I didn't play MP2 yet, so no spoilers.

spoiler(highlight to read): - the guy is standing in front of door. Thanks for new physical model - it is possible to run into door knocking him on the floor . Run upstairs (the guy will follow you and try to shoot you - didn`t get me shot even once - but if you do get shot you will pick up some painkillers) , go into some unlocked operating rooms - eventually you will come into room with those bulkhead desks - hide around in shadows - a security guy will come and get shot - get his gun - you know the rest

Well I can't decide if NOLF2 is next or Call of Duty. This babysitting VG in MP2 is killing my a$$.

Oh and just a note on that part 3 start. Make sure the bad guys stay together, that is go directly to that room, if they do not stay together, the scripted event does not happen.

I've never played NOLF (1 or 2), but I've played CoD a little... I think I managed to beat 2 or 3 missions before getting bored...
Why do they keep pooping out one WW2 game after another... I hate games about WW2

probably Speedball2 for me.
If only FPS are allowed then Jedi Knight held my interest more than any other.
I've not tried Max Payne because i get the feeling its a very linear game(like Splinter Cell), which offers very little replay value? I could be wildly wrong on this?

It's one of those games that's very hard to transport to the modern industry. Probably best just to leave memories as they are.

Well, just finished Max Payne 2, and, ta-da, it was indeedly short, but I was getting tired of it anyway.

CoD is sweet and immersive. I have not played any other WW2 shooters yet, so this one is good for me. ADG, from what I understand, the Russian missions are the best, so you should have hung out for those.

Now I'm going to put MP1 and MP2 on e-bizzle as a matched set, so I can get KotOR

Doom II agathon? I pity you. The environments all looked the same, as did the enemies, as did the guns, as did the blood, as did Quake, as did every Doom incarnation ever! I'm looking forward to doomIII even though penny arcade said it looked stupid.
