I think it should be a large pangea world new so that it spawns lots of hills and mountains.

And throw in the traditional wet and hot settings as they are the most supportive of successful civilizations.

4. Wittlich - Russians
5. Hot_Enamel - China
6. GhengisFarb - Mongols

Map:

Standard pangea, ocean coverage, temperature, humidity, age all medium. Restless barbarians.

Difficulty:

Monarch (for corruption/tech speed/barbarian difficulty).

Rules:

Standard rules, all victory conditions.

Here you go.

Remarks:
- Difficulty is Monarch, regardless what the game says (it has been set as player property and thus, can't change)
- The first turn (4050 BC) has been skipped. The turn limit has been set to 541 turns, so the game ends as always 2050 AD.
- Nobody has a truly horrible start (all jungle and/or hills), and nobody a very sweet (like five cows)
- No island starts
- Resource availability to the starting locations has neither been checked nor changed

Everyone has 5 cows within a certain radius. But this radius is larger than a city radius.

Seriously, between "truly horrible" and "very sweet" is enough room for nuances. Not all locations are equal. That wouldn't be civ. But all are playable.

Its been my experience that games set up by timezones are the SLOWEST of all my pbems. Don't know why, they just seem to be slow.

Nah, east to west is usually best. But since there's only one European in the game (CerberusIV) and the little time difference between North Americans hardly matters, it should be fine so.

I think thats the reason Beta had Cerb as first and me as last....(Is that right ????)

If its not too much trouble Sir Ralph, I think Cerb and I should follow each other.

And if you are going to change it for us, then you might as well redo the lot.

If you cant be fagged doing it.. then no real problems.
It wont bother me too much.
