"I ascended to power one thousand years ago, to the day! I am happy to be your utter and most powerful ruler of this small village! This is my millinieum anniversery that we are celebrating here, and it is a great thing! Some of you that are here today are critics of me. You say we should go back to the old ways, the ways of our forefathers. You don't like the changes I have made! I have this to say to you: these changes are here to stay! You think we should be nomads, with no ties to a place. I say no! We have done that for our entire history? Have we yet defeated the barbarians of this land? No! We must settle, and have somewhere to fight for! We must build here, and make it profitiable, so that we may prosper! And prosper we have! You, the hard-working people, have made this a better place. Under my enlightened rule, you have tilled the earth! We have harnessed nature, adjusting the river flows so that it waters our crops, over doubling our food! We have cleared great areas, calling it roads. The critics say that I aim to kill us off, by such work. They say I mean to seperate you from your families! In a way, this is true! Our explorers... Your explorers, have found fertile terrain to the east, not like the mountains to our backs. As such, our new roads lead to that area. Today, on my millinieum anniversery, a special, elite group of men and women from our village, people that you know, go out to tame this land! We send out our new settlers, to colonize the world, and to make us, those of this great village of Istanbul, the World's Greatest Civilization! Thank you!"
