Yeah, but if I go home in an hour and don't return to 'poly until Monday, when the rest of the places have been filled, and the game has begun, then you'll know I'm not the mafia, because I won't have had a chance to choose any victims. Or should I send Kass a PM with a suitable victim in the chance that I am the mafia?
Easier to wait until Monday (or boot me out of the game if you get anyone else along). Sorry for being one of the 'poly part-timers.

I wouldn't know whether I was the mafia or not until Monday (or at least until the places are filled). I'd imagine that they'd have all gone by tomorrow, so the first mafia kill would be on Saturday, the second on Sunday, and the third on Monday. Unless we're having 3 mafia this turn then I couldn't do that.

NEW RULE IDEA.

Maybe if we had a vote of the Dead Villagers at the beginning of a new thread (so every 500 posts) and one Dead Villager was resurrected from the Dead.

Course there's always a chance you could resurrect a dead Mafia.

I don't think resurrection from the dead is a good idea, but the dead collectively (after it reachs say 6 dead) maybe could have 1 vote between them. But I feel they should not have a vote when it gets down to the last 4. A kind of poltergeist vote that appears after 6 dead and disappears when there are just 4 remaining.

Another point though, is that if ghost can influence the votes then what's the point of killing a villager? I mean it is already pretty bad that they are constantly haunting the living people with their demands of killing somebody. Now if you kill somebody because he got some clue that is close to the truth which you don't want to be let out, only to have him coming back and tell everybody and cast the vote anyways, how would the mafia actually gain anything by getting rid of certain people?

I don't think the resurrection is in the spirit (sorry ) of this game.

Ghosts also shouldn't vote; they have the option of trying to persuade live villagers though.
