Enid nods at the commtech next to her, and stares then right to the commscreen in front of her.
The screen comes to live, and three other members of the Planetary Council are to be seen on it.
She sighted, interests on interfactional communications were fading fast it seemed.

She spoke up. "The Planetary Council is now in session, a majority is present. The log notes the presence of DataJack Barinthus, Doctor Rubin, Captain Sankis and, off course, my person." Enid smiled.
"Greetings to you all. I called this session together for Doctor Rubin brought forward a concern regarding the extensive 'military research' as he calls it, especially for the Atlantean faction I guess."
The Atlantean Research Department has been directed to follow this approach so the Crown would be able to help one of it's longstanding allies in the possibility that another not present faction tries to start an invasion."
Enid looked around briefly to the other faces on the screen, and continued.
"That is the so-called military reason. But next to this are the beneficies of implementing Synthetic Fossil Fuels to ALL our cultures too great to ignore. Aircraft, with a likely increase of interfactional contacts and commerce will increase our mutual understanding. And that can only come to the good of all willing parties in such contacts."
She smiled, signalling the end of her speech.
"Any other member of this council that wishes to comment further on this matter?" she inquired.

Lady Deirdre has initiated construction on the Xenoempathy Dome. Doctor Rubin of the University has enacted a Free Market Economy. Chairman Yang of the Hive has somehow acquired Adaptive Economics. Brother Lal of the Peacekeeping Forces refuses to cooperate with University diplomats--he has, obviously, not recovered from the U.N.S. Unity crash more than 60 years ago... A bureaucratic madman!

The Kingdom, as current keepers of the Governor seat, wish to express it's displeasure at the University's economical choice which could be seen as a challenge to it's closest neighbour and in doing so threatens the world peace which exist today on Planet.

As keeper of the Governor seat, the Kingdom also distances itself from factions who turn to technological extortion of other weaker factions. Perhaps this issue should be discussed more indept in the Planetary Council as to avoid similar cases in the future.

As acting planetary governor, it would be much appreciated if Governor Geo Enid (edit) could stop making subtle and enigmatic accusations/statements--and instead state his her (edit) business and concerns directly and without ambiguity.

It has come to the attention of the Governor that Chairman Yang uses brute intimidation of neighbouring factions to bribe state-of-the-art technology from them. The Kingdom denounces such actions.

Therefore the Kingdom wishes to bring on the Councils' table the following proposal. If the Human Hive chooses to do so again the targeted faction ignores such a blatant bribe, and the other Council members (the players) help the targeted faction to defend it's home territory against the likely intrusions afterwards.

Council Issue, M.Y. 2166:
The University of Planet and the Human Hive have always had good relations. Chairman Yang and Doctor Rubin have their differences but so far only peaceful discussions have resulted.

The University of Planet cannot be held responsible for any third party diplomatic actions. However, should Chairman Yang decide to declare vendetta upon a faction simply because that faction's leader decides to ignore the Chairman's call--the University of Planet is willing to consider supporting offensive/defensive measures against the Human Hive.
