Maybe people are getting a little fed up with all these questions/ remarks/ complaints/ suggestions of yours Narck. Especially when they seem to be as insignificant as this one. I think there's some food for thought in there. No need to get all worked up about it.

Quick fix: enter a blank line before putting in the smilies.

Another quick fix: the admins could make the gifs 1 pixel taller, but then it will screw up spacing between lines just a little bit more.

A third quick fix: make some of the smilies 1 pixel smaller -- just the graphic, not the whole thing.

Why isn't there a space in MarkG's handle? It looks quite cramped now. People have usually a space between their first and last names, so there should be one in poster names also!

Actually Narck I have noticed this before! It's really only bad when you are typing a long reply w/ a smiley somewhere in the middle. The line above the smiley is pushed up and the orderly progression of neat lines disturbed. Truthfully I almost started a thread on it like this one, but thank God I never did.
